Sometimes when we are bored, my daughter and I will draw pictures together. It starts with her scribbles and then I reinterpret them into whatever I believe they look like. Sometimes what I believe they look like is too inappropriate to translate. These for example…
I thought my daughter was developing a boob obsession so I was extremely relieved when I asked her what they were. Eyes? Oh yes of course. Obviously. What is wrong with me?
These drawings had a home on my Facebook page (so I apologize for the reruns) but I decided to transfer them here because I intend to make updated posts with our newest editions.
All of the drawings to date have been done completely with crayon, a real bitch of a media to use. It’s something fun we do together and she always giggles and gives me some “oo’s” and “ah’s” at the end result. She’s my biggest fan.
Most of these pictures were just scribbles with no real game plan, but now it’s becoming more fun because she can actually tell me what it is that she is drawing. The Pirate was the first drawing that was done with her complete direction. She insisted she drew a pirate, and I think she was right.
So here they are in no particular order. Enjoy our terrible crayon art…
